This is the impressive new Ford Fiesta Sport van which is not only compact and stylish but also an economical vehicle to drive.
As should be expected, it’s also packed with safety and driver assistance technologies.
The new model joins the Ford Transit commercial van line-up and marks the Blue Oval’s return to the urban hatchback van market.
For more than three-years, Ford has been Europe’s bestselling commercial vehicle brand and they have consolidated its leading position this year. The new Fiesta Sport van will also add to its popularity.
The new van will be available from the autumn and is based on the firm’s award-winning Fiesta passenger vehicle.
New Ford Fiesta Sport van features a 1.0 litre EcoBoost petrol engine
The new Ford Fiesta Sport van features a 1.0 litre EcoBoost petrol engine producing 125 PS or there’s the choice of a 1.5 litre TDCi diesel unit producing 120 PS.
Featuring a three door body, the load compartment is practical and is capable of carrying 1.0 cubic metre of cargo with a 1.3 m load length. The gross payload for the new van is 500 kg.
The Ford Fiesta van’s load space also features a mesh and composite full bulkhead, tough rubber floor covering and a durable side wall trim.
It’s also a comfortable cabin to spend time in with hard wearing materials and lots of the latest technology including Ford’s Sync3 entertainment system.
Driver assistance technology for the Ford Fiesta Sport van
Among the driver assistance technology for the Ford Fiesta Sport van is pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, emergency braking system and blind spot detection.
To help urban van drivers deal with their everyday challenges there’s also safe parking, traffic sign recognition, cross traffic alert and adjustable speed limiter.
The sporting theme is also carried into the cabin with revised trim materials and seats and a unique steering wheel along with a new gear lever and pedals.
Options for the Ford Fiesta Sport van include heated seats and heated steering wheel while the lane keeping assistance and speed adjustable speed limiter fitted as standard. There’s no indication of prices yet.
