Isuzu D-Max gets six new variants

The Isuzu D-Max pick-up has six new variants and more accessories – and sales are taking off.

The award-winning Isuzu D-Max has had six new variants added to the range.

That means that customer choice has expanded from 11 models to 17.

The new versions are mainly in the D-Max business range and the Utility Double Cab, the Utility Extended Cab and the DL20 Extended Cab – which previously had manual gearboxes – are now available with automatic transmission.

There’s also a rear differential lock available for some versions.

D-Max Utility pickup models

Isuzu says its D-Max Utility pickup models are suited to anyone needing a vehicle for hard-working environments with robust steel wheels, easy clean vinyl floor coverings and hard-wearing durable black plastic door mirrors, bumpers and door handles.

Users opting for the Utility model also have lots of safety features and all versions have automatic headlights, speed-sensitive power steering, automatic windscreen wipers, a start and stop system plus DAB radio.

The D-Max is also renowned for its safety features and the advanced driver assistance systems include traffic sign recognition, autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning and intelligent speed limiter.

The double cab versions add blind-spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert and emergency lane keeping assist.

It is these safety features that have helped the D-Max pick up five stars from Euro NCAP for its crash safety tests.

Prices for the new range start at £21,999 plus VAT for is a versatile and impressive pickup.

Sales of the D-Max rocketed by 54%

The new trim additions will undoubtedly prove popular, and Isuzu has just revealed that in March, sales of the D-Max rocketed by 54%.

Also, in the first quarter of this year, their total sales in the UK grew by 42.8%.

That’s against a backdrop of a challenging market and a falling demand for pickups in the country.

Sales of its double-cab automatic models have grown by 58% over the past year, while the brand’s bestseller is the V-Cross.

125,000-mile or five-year warranty for the Isuzu D-Max

All D-Max models feature a 125,000-mile or five-year warranty, plus there’s five years of roadside assistance to bring peace of mind.

The D-Max has a one-tonne payload, and a 3.5-tonne maximum towing capacity.

There’s also a new range of accessories for D-Max drivers.

For those wanting the V-Cross model, there’s the High-Line pack that adds a bed rug for the loading area and a gullwing canopy with improved water defence.

There’s also a bumper extension, a towbar with 13-pin electrics and a roof rail set.

This those who use their D-Max for business, there’s a water defence kit and under rail load liner for the pickup’s load area.

Other options include a new front-grille mounted lamp set and a hard-wearing 3D mats.
