Volkswagen has announced the new innovative charter which will guarantee customers a high level of service across its entire Van Centre network.

The firm has underlined what customers can expect with a list of 10 promises which include giving a quote before any work begins and advising of any extra work which will not be carried out until authorised.

Many VW van owners will be pleased to hear that they will be guaranteed an appointment within five working days at their local VW Van Centre.

VW Vans introduce new service charter promises

Volkswagen’s list of promises also includes a courtesy vehicle or a pickup and drop-off service and for any recovered VW van, technicians will diagnose the problem within one working day.

All labour and parts will come with a two-year warranty and all work carried out will be carefully explained and why is covered under warranty and which items and labour needs to be paid.

Volkswagen is also promising that they will clean the van before returning it after a service.

VW Commercial Vehicles ‘putting customers first’

The firm’s head of parts and service, Kevin Rendell, said: “We put our customers first every time and our customer service promise is that.”

He added that the promise underlines the commitment from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles to ensure that van operators can run their vehicle with the minimal amount of disruption and without being handed unexpected hefty repair bills.

VW promises come after van customer feedback

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles have put the list of promises together after customer feedback and from experiences from their teams in Van Centres around the UK.

The firm says it’s been vital to focus on a number of key areas including the transparency of work that has been undertaken, the level of service for customers and work to be done.
