The all-electric Vauxhall Combo-e is now available to order, and it’s an impressive compact van.

The order books for the excellent all-electric Vauxhall Combo-e compact van have now opened.

The van made its global debut at the Commercial Vehicle Show and Vauxhall says it now offers business and fleet customers an electric van across its LCV range.

The all-new Combo-e has a 50kWh battery that powers an electric motor to deliver 136 PS.

The Combo-e is capable of a range of up to 171 miles, and the battery can be recharged to 80% of its capacity in 30 minutes.

And since it’s a battery-powered van, the Combo-e is exempt from congestion charge and ultra-low emission payments.

0% Benefit-in-Kind tax rate

And being zero emissions means a business is eligible to enjoy a 0% Benefit-in-Kind tax rate.

The stylish Vauxhall Combo-e has 4.4 m³ of load space, and a maximum payload of 800kg.

Vauxhall says the new offering is not only a practical choice for many businesses but is ideally suited for those who are trained professionals.

Using a wallbox to recharge the battery will take 7.5 hours, while an 11kW charger will offer a five hours charging time.

Drivers get three driving modes, Power, Normal and Eco.

Power mode delivers maximum performance

With Power mode, the van will deliver maximum performance, while the Normal setting will offer a balanced drive that includes energy efficiency.

For the highest energy-efficient performance, as well as the maximum range, Eco mode will meet the driver’s needs.

The Combo-e is available as either a crew or panel van with lots of standard equipment including an infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity and a DAB radio.

The audio controls are mounted on the steering wheel, and the van is fitted with the firm’s ‘Connect’ system that will alert breakdown and emergency services should the van be involved in a breakdown or accident.

Full-height steel bulkhead

Safety features include a full-height steel bulkhead and rear parking sensors.

Opt for the Sportive trim and drivers get a multimedia audio system, an eight-inch colour display and the ‘FlexCargo’ pack which sees the passenger seat folding into a bench seat, as well as a backrest for the centre seat when it is folded down.

The crew van is available in Dynamic trim and there are sliding side access doors.

Prices start at £25,238 ex VAT for the Vauxhall Combo-e and deliveries will begin later this year.
