The excitement is growing as the new Luton-built Vauxhall Vivaro has begun rolling off the production line.

The very first one has been delivered to home emergency repairs firm Homeserve and it’s the first of a major order to be delivered.

The firm will take delivery of 65 Vivaro vans as well as 140 Vauxhall Movano vans.

New Vauxhall Vivaro is more economic

The Vivaro (L1H1) panel vans are powered by the firm’s efficient 1.6 CDTi engines with 90PS and they have been specified to come with parking sensors and air con.

Homeserve is also taking delivery of Vauxhall’s 2.3 CDTi Movano BiTurbo van which produces 136PS and have the same extras.

Tim Tozer, the chairman of Vauxhall presented the keys to the director of procurement for Homeserve, Jadon Silva.

Practicality is key for the Vauxhall Vivaro

He said: “The Movano and Vivaro offer practicality, load-lugging capability and economy and it’s great news that this landmark vehicle is going to one of our key customers.”

Mr Silva said the new vans will be more fuel-efficient and better for the environment and help them deliver a high level of service to their customers.

The Vauxhall Vivaro has been a big seller for the firm and the new version is sure to be a big success – however it’s up against some stiff competition in the recently launched Renault Trafic and the Ford Transit range.

The new Vivaro model has larger cargo space and a range of excellent BiTurbo diesels that are frugal and help towards the van’s low running costs.

New Vivaro will impress

In addition, the handling is impressive with car-like driving and it is a comfortable van to drive all day long, especially for anyone making lots of drop-off’s.

So, along with these improvements, Vauxhall has improved its offering to match that from Ford so that functionality in style and now the watchwords as well as its handling abilities.

In addition, the Vauxhall Movano is a van that has excellent levels of build quality and will take a lot of punishment. The cab is comfortable and designed for heavy use with durable materials used extensively.

There’s little to fault the Movano which has a wide range of body styles and engines to deliver a great van to a wide range of buyers.
