There’s a new Barbarian+ variant for the Mitsubishi L200 pickup range.

This is the new Barbarian+ variant for the award-winning Mitsubishi L200 range.

The Series 6 pickup truck has added the new variant to offer a premium load area package.

Barbarian+ will include

Mitsubishi says that the Barbarian+ will include:

  • Load bay lighting
  • Central locking tailgate
  • A GST Plus II Hardtop (with a sliding bulkhead window and pop outside windows)
  • Hardtop roof rails
  • Protective load bay liner.

The new L200 Barbarian+ has the choice of either a six-speed automatic transmission featuring paddle shifters on the steering wheel, or a smooth-changing six-speed manual box.

New package is worth £1,900 plus VAT

The price for the new offering is £30,350 OTR, which is £750 plus VAT more than their standard Barbarian offering – though Mitsubishi points out that the new package is worth £1,900 plus VAT to customers.

The new Barbarian+, as with all Mitsubishi L200s, comes with the firm’s SuperSelect 4WD system which has various off-roading modes along with leather upholstery, 18-inch alloy wheels, illuminated door entry guard, heated front seats and LED mood lighting.

The new variant also features safety equipment including lane departure warning, forward collision mitigation and automatic wipers and lights.

The Mitsubishi L200 Barbarian+ also includes seven airbags, active stability and traction control, trailer stability control and hill start assist.

The new offering is available to order now, and the new variant is likely to boost the impressive offering of the Mitsubishi L200 which is one of the UK’s most popular pickups.

Mitsubishi L200 credentials win honours

The new model also underlines the Mitsubishi L200 credentials after it picked up the best pickup award at the Business Vans of the Year event.

A panel of judges decided that the L200 offers excellent value for money and low running costs.

This was the third major UK award since the L200 Series 6 was launched.

The event judges also praised Mitsubishi for the all-wheel drive capability and reliability of its pickups and for their history of innovation.
